Hi ladies

Thought I'd say hello on this board-DH & I have been TTC for almost a year now. I'm a little worried because of our ages-I'm 37 & he's 39 but I'm staying positive.

Every month I convince myself I am pregnant (because I feel like I am), take a test with negative results and get my period the next day. It's a crazy cycle :(

Does anyone have any kind of advice for us?
Thanks

Re: Hi ladies

Best advice I can give is see your doctor. I had perfect cycles and was told all my life getting pregnant would be easy. Boy were they wrong. It turns out I have PCOS I went on metformin and BAM I got pregnant. I am 32 weeks pregnant now.
Since you are over 35 you were elegible for testing after 6 months of trying. I would talk to you ob/gyn about seeing a RE (reproductive endocrinologist). They specialize in getting women pregnant. Good luck and I hope you catch that eggie soon

Re: Hi ladies

If you don't need referrals with your insurance try to make an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist. This is their specialty so they might be able to help you better than an OB/GYN.

Re: Hi ladies

We actually went to a fertility doctor this week. Turns out I don't have many eggs left so we're going to need some help. We're going for blood tests this weekend, DH has an appt. next week for semen analysis and I have to get an HSG to see if my tubes are clear. If all goes well, they will start us on artificial insemination.
