Travel for Makeup/hair person? How much to pay?

Hello this makeup / hair person I am considering says that she will need me to pay for travel. Do you know how much it will be round trip from Astoria, New York to Roslyn Heights, New York?

Would I give her a lump sum and she finds the car service on her own, or I will have to book it myself? Anyone had to deal with this situation?

I thought I would just give her money for car..and have her book it...any suggestions?

I haven't done this before, but why not ask her how much it usually is, then ask for a receipt upon her arrival? Cap out the amount, too (like no more than $150, if that's the normal rate).

I would also check a couple of places on my own just to see if the price she tells you is in the range of average.
