We start dance lessons tonight!

Woohoo! But we still don't have a wedding song. I don't know WHY this is so hard to figure out. We want something very classic...

Options:
1. Make Someone Happy
2. S'wonderful
3. Fly Me To the Moon

Suggestions? Other ideas?

I hope we don't have 4 left feet between us!

Where are you taking your lessons, and are they group or private?

I like them all. My friends used L O V E by Frank Sinatra. It was really cute and upbeat.

Where are you taking lessons? We are looking into taking some.

We're taking lessons at Dance Manhattan. We're starting with a plg of 5 privates, and then we might do some group, too, depending upon how much help we need!

By the name I am going to assume it is in the city?

Great choice on this studio! What type of dance...ballroom (fox trot, waltz, etc) or some form of latin (salsa, tango, etc)?

Aren't you a dance teacher? Do you recommend any dance studios on LI? We want to take lessons for our first dance and my continue on with some other classes too -- like Salsa!

Yes I am. For the type of dance you're looking for I definitely recommend going into the city for classes. On long island your options aren't as abundant, there's only really Arthur Murray schools on LI and I personally am not really a fan of them. Dance Manhattan is one of the schools I'd recommend along with a few others (NYC based). If you want a list of schools let me know.

I'm hoping to learn Waltz and Foxtrot first, and then if we are good (hah!) maybe spread out into another style. I'm so excited. Glad we made a good choice on the studio - and yes - it is in NYC...

92nd Street Y for Ballroom, Salsa, Tango, Swing...

Dance Manhattan for Ballroom, Tango, Swing...

Sandra Cameron Dance Center for Ballroom, Salsa, Swing...

Broadway Dance Center for basic latin classes...

Peridance for Tango
