I'm Back - with a mini-review!!! Thatched Cottage, Variety Music, the Wedding Center & Sandals Antigua

Hello ladies! I'm back & I am HAPPILY married!!

First things first - I never got to sign on and give an 'official farewell' so I'd just like to take a sec to thank you ALL for all of your advice, assistance & support during the planning process. I could NOT have done it without you!!

Our day was just perfect! It was very windy & rained a bit, but we somehow managed to get our pics in anyways. There were a few minor mishaps (my dress got really dirty before we even got to the church and my bustle came undone during our 1st dance and we couldn't do our well rehearsed tango - I almost fell on my head), but all in all I do have to say that it was AMAZING and I couldn't have envisioned a more perfect day Unfortunately, our honeymoon - not so much. My hubby got deathly ill when we arrived and ran a 103.7 - 104.2 fever the first 4 days...I spent the entire trip in our room petrified about his health We're going to book another vacation soon though to make up for it

OK, so a mini-review (I'll start writing up a full one as soon as I have some free time)...

Thatched Cottage - 10!!! The staff, the grounds, everything - perfect! We literally had many of our MALE guests running up to us during the CH yelling 'OMG - I just went to China, Japan, Mexico & the Mediterannean in 5 minutes and now I'm headed over to France!!! This is the best CH EVER!!!' It was hysterical. The entire day was filled with smiling guests that kept stopping us repeatedly to rave about the food, the room & the view!! Apparently they kept calling my parents too after we left on our HM. All in all - TOP MARKS for the Thatched Cottage...it was all I had dreamed it would be

Variety Music (DJ & MC Harry) - 10!!! Harry was just great! He was fun, worked with us well (he kept checking in to make sure we were happy) and he had everyone up and dancing! He's another vendor that people kept raving to us about

The Wedding Center - As much as I hated working with 'the men' over there while planning (rude, nasty, etc etc) I do have to say that they really came through. The flowers were A1 gorgeous (exactly what I wanted), the limos were really nice (as were the drivers) & the photographer Fritz Auguste was just awesome! We really enjoyed working with him & MANY of our guests complimented on how nice & professional he was (some ladies even asked me to ask if he was single ) So, the Commack Wedding Center - In-store Service = 4 Wedding Day Service - 10!

Sandals Antigua (the new Med. Village) - gorgeous! The view, the staff, the room & the food were all great! I'll go into more detail on this in my actual review, but I'd definitely recommend this resort if you're considering it!

awesome review!! so glad your day was amazing... so sorry about your HM ... but thank god your DH is ok!!

my sister used the wedding center for her wedding and had Fritz also.. everyone loved him!!

Congratulations!!

We had dinner at the Mill Pond House on the 3rd and drove right by Thatched Cottage! I was wondering if it was a LIWeddings girl having her wedding then!!

I wish that I had pics, but unfortunately they're almost all of the inside of our room I have 2 or 3 that I took of the grounds from the lobby of the main building right before we left, so I'll post them for you as soon as I have a chance tonight. Do you have a 'butler service room?' If you do, I can tell you a little about that if you have any questions...we did & I do have to say that they were fantastic & made our stay as comfortable as they could given the circumstances! They were really a lifesaver!

Congratulations! Thanks for your review. I am a TC bride as well Sorry to hear about what happened on your honeymoon but it's a good thing he is ok! I guess you started off your marriage showing him that you would be there 'through sickness and in health!'

You got that right! We got the final diagnosis yesterday - my sweetie has had a wicked bad case on pneumonia for the past 3 weeks! He's finally starting to really look & sound better now, though, so thank god he's ok! All of this worrying has been exhausting
