how much was the day trip to oahu and what was it all about??

FH and I were thinking about this too. Mainly to see Pearl Harbor, I'd also like to know what others did or are doing for their day trip. It seems to be quite popular

Okay - here's the real deal. I did the day trip to Oahu just for Pearl Harbor and my advice would be... try doing Pearl Harbor on the last day you are in Hawaii. It was about $200 (roughly from what I recall) per person RT and it was a long guided tour. Very Very nice, but DH and I are not too fond of bus tours. It wasn't THAT bad, and doing a tour can save you some money, but we had to fly back into Oahu (HNL Int'l airport) on our last day anyway, so that is what I would try to do. Plus the fact that they ask you to be at the airport for about 5 or 5:30 am when you really don't get on the plane for another hour so I wasn't too happy as you could imagine! With the tour, you get to see the USS Missouri as well and a short tour of Waikiki and Waikiki Beach which is beautiful. Good luck!

We went to Oahu about 2 years ago for a vacation and here are some things we did-we did the Pearl Harbor tour, we went to the Dole Pineapple Plantattion, we went to Waikikki Beach, we took a tour of Diamond Head volcano (pretty cool), and the usual stuff snorkling at a place called Hanamau Bay (sp??), sightseeing, etc...
Oh FH also rented a Ferrari for a day which cost us 400 dollars but he said since he'll never own one he NEEDED to rent it--it was fun though and people actually thought WE owned it and gave us special parking privileges etc...It was hysterical!

We are doing the day trip to oahu and I think it is costing around 400 for the two of us to go roundtrip and for a tour of oahu.
The reason why we decided for the day trip because we know many people who have gone to Hawaii and they told us it wasn't a necessity to stay on oahu.
They all suggested doing the day trip..

We can't wait to go though!!!!!
