I would have forgotten myself if they didn't send me a reminder -- I signed up for it for that reason! I was planning on renting 'An Inconvenient Truth' - now I will just watch 'What Not to Wear' and this!

Re: TLC Tonight: Say Yes to the Dress, 10PM
The begining of the show was the same as the rest, just different brides. Pretty funny to see people going through the process u went through. They taped me too, but just with a dress on, not sure if I get a cameo, but it was not tonight. My consultant that helped me was on there. Exactly how the one girl was loosing control of the situation, well mine had too much control, she brought me some of the ugliest dresses. I hate that you can't go look through the dresses. I only got 1 1/2 an appointment and you really can't try that much on in that time.
I ended up getting my dress elsewhere. But it is cool to watch the show. I saw one dress I tried on - Eve of Milady.

Re: TLC Tonight: Say Yes to the Dress, 10PM
I really enjoyed watching it. I hadn't gone to Kleinfield to try on dresses -- it looks like such a fancy place! And EXPENSIVE!!! They kept talking about that poor girl's $3000 budget and I think that is a lot! Aside from one store with dresses in the $3500-15,000 range (which I wanted to get out of ASAP so I wouldn't fall in love with a dress there) I don't think I tried on dress much if at all over $2k.
Also, I know there is editing and everything but i was suprised to see how 'fast' people were deciding on a dress. I shopped around for a week going to maybe 8 different places (some more than once) before deciding on my dress, even if it was one of the first I tried on. Just to make sure...

I thought the same about how fast people were buying these dresses! Makes me not want to go to Kleinfeld's coz I don't want to be pressured into buying right on the spot!

Re: TLC Tonight: Say Yes to the Dress, 10PM
I watched the show. I liked it. The first salon I went to was Kleinfelds because I wanted that 'experience'. That said I thought I had found the dress that I wanted, it was beautiful and not too bridal-y, with just enough glitz and glam. So I had really considered purchasing but they wanted 60% and I wasn't prepared to pay that on that day. So I decided I'd come back with the deposit. But something kept telling me to try another place, so I made an appt at Bridal Reflections. There I found 'THE DRESS'. I was so happy that I didn't put my money on the first dress. I didn't get too much pressure from Kleinfelds..it was a nice experience.Welcome New Vendors
