ok really random NWR but i need help! (cat people especially)

Soo my little baby zoey i think is becoming a woman...what are cats like when they go into heat??? she hasnt been spayed yet (fh and i were actually just talking about making an appointment) and all of a sudden now shes crying a lot and rubbing against things...are those signs? Not to mention that FH called me when he got home today to tell me that he thinks my other cat (who is male and fixed) looks like he is scared of her and even said that he thinks he was raped lol tho i doubt that happened haha...but does anyone know anyhting about this???? my vet is away till friday so i cant even make an appointment till after that so im not sure what to do or what will happen TIA!

LOLOLOLOL yeah fh really told me that and i was like OMG she didnt rape him! he doesnt have any balls anyways lol

she may just be in heat. (eta: like you said)

have her fixed though, ASAP.

If she's an indoor cat and looking to get out, she's probably definitely in heat. Also look for random tomcats hanging around your house...

omg when my cat was in heat it was awful , all she would do was cry and wine and be such a pain i nthe ***, she looked like she was in pain too it was awful ... l felt so bad...usually cats go in heat around this time of year and then in feb/march...something to do with the season change

aww im so sad for her! stupid question but do they get their 'period'? i know dogs do a bit im not sure about cats

uh i think so...well they like spray, and it takes a lil while but if u dont get them fixed in time i heard its awful and its everywhere lol

She is in heat. Usually they are bout 6 months or so the first time. Sounds like you need to get her fixed. She will stay in heat indefinitely if there is any un-neutered males around.

when my cat Lady Katherine Wubegone first went into heat it was the strangest thing bc i'd never owned a cat before.

She would rub EVERYTHING, and stick her butt up in the air like she was 'asking for it'
I used to call her my little sl ut kitty.

She also whined a lot.

You live in a basement apartment...so some of the signs might be harder... Tomcats around the area, a strong scent of cat urine outside b/c the boy cats have sprayed to mark the teritory and show her that they are around...
is Zoey trying to get out?

Judging by her size when i saw her, there is a good chance she's in her first heat now.

I'd take her to the vet asap. Kitty pms can be awful for them to deal with. The sooner you can get her fixed the better... it also helps prevent a few feline diseases.

Ohhhh boy Its time!!! she needs to be fixed otherwise you are NOT going to get any sleep. Im surprised the male cat hasnt tried anything yet. We went through this just about the same time last year with our kitty and it was sooooooo annoying!! She would not shut up...

I'm no help! My Mimacat was fixed when I got her from the pound, and my two little cats are only 4 months old now!
