Re: hi im new and confused

First off congrats and welcome to the nerveracking world of ttc.
Second there is a ttc forum on lifamilies.com that gets a lot more traffic.
And finally to answer your questions. Opk's are usually done in the afternoon. They can be done in the evening too. Just try to hold your urine for at least a couple hours and limit the intake of fluids. Once you get a +OPK you should ovulate in the next 12-24 hours I think . Some people get 2 days of positives so don't be alarmed if you do.
AS for tracking a good way to do that is charting. You have to temp everymorning at the same time. And before you do anything else but it works for a lot of women. I charted for 2 years before getting married and was pregnant our third month of trying.
good luck

Yup I am 21 weeks today. I am glad I started charting when I did because I was dx'ed with PCOS. If I had waited I would not have known there was a problem. I was put on Metformin when it was time to tcc and well, it worked. Charting can be a little annoying at first but it becomes second nature if you stick with it. If you have any questions fm me. I am no expert but have a bit of experience. Good luck.

Re: hi im new and confused

You have a couple choices. You can do charting, opk's or a combination of both. I did charting on fertilityfriend.com. It is a good site and I recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. But instead of temping/charting you could just do opk's starting on the 10th day of you cycle (first day of you period counts as day 1). When it turns + then you 'baby dance' for the next few days. Then starts the 2 week wait. If you don't get your period then take a home pregnancy test.
That is the really condenced version of the ttc world. You should check out the ttc forum on lifamilies.com. Feel free to fm me if you have any questions. Don't worry about what people say about starting a famiky right away. I got pregnant on the honeymoon and just ignore people that say rude comments.
