Stupid question:When picking photos for parents albums....

When picking photos for parents albums,they can be different for each one,right?
In other words,my in-laws would have more pictures of them in theirs and my family would have more pictures of them.

I let my mom and MIL pick thier own pictures to put in the album. It was easier that way.

Yes NOVEMBERBRIDE - the two parent albums have different photos from each other. I also let the parents pick their own. It should be the pictures they like best, even if you disagree.

I let my in-laws, and parents look through our proof album, and let them pick the photos they wanted.

I gave them the box and told them
write down the 24 you want on a piece of paper!! its their book so let them do the work :-))

I am letting everyone pick their own photos. I am sure my in-laws will want photos of their children, whereas my parents will not put Scott's siblings in theirs.

I wanted to make sure that we didn't have to have the same photos in both parents albums. That is great because they will each pick what they want.

Well...I let my parents and my in-laws pick their own pictures. However, when we went over everyone's list, I noticed that my in-laws barely chose ANY photos of ME to be in their album. Even the pics they chose of my hubby were by himself!

Since I paid for them to even have an album, I was a bit insulted, and I couldn't help but say something to them. They ended up adding several pics - some of me alone, and several of us together.

LOL, Claud, I could totally see my MIL doing the same when that time comes. Geez, I would have been insulted/will be insulted too!!!

Claud , I can't believe they would do that. I would be very hurt. Of course they're going to be partial to their son and their pictures but to leave you totally out!

For my hubby's parents we gave them an 8*10 and a couple of loose 5*5. For my mom I gave her a 5*7 in a mommy's girl frame. As a surprise to her, for mother's day, I am getting a 20 page flush reversible 8*8 album. The pix I chose were of me and her, a couple of the ceremony her walking me down the aisle, some from me and hubby at Old Westbury Garden, the first dance the parent's dancing, cake cutting and a couple from the reception. I did not include any of my hubby's siblings, instead I chose a group shot of me, mom, my dad and hubby and hubby's parents.

Claud that is outrageous, I am glad you spoke up, how rude, I would be so hurt.

claud that is sooo typical...youre not alone on that one..my mil put one each of me and DH alone and 2 of me and dh together, but it was totally an aferthought - SIL had to remind her that WE were the bride and groom....
sometimes i wonder how she and dh can be related....

I picked the pictures for both of the parent album. My MIL told me I could go ahead and choose the pictures. My mom on the other hand, approved all of the pictures and added some more. She even upgraded her album to an 8x8. My package included 24 in each album. I included individual, ceremony, extended family, bride/groom with each parent, siblings, parents dance, 1 cake cutting, and I finshed it off with a nice photo of us showing off the beauty of CB.

my mom will be picking hers and my mil i will try to pick ones that i know she will like (too hard to get together)

We picked for my MIL because she's in Florida, I also picked for my Mom & then made the mistake of showing her before I gave the list to the photographer. She completely changed it & has 6 extra pics that she can't part with
Of course she offered to pay for them but I won't let her, I wish I would have just decided for her.

I am letting them pick their own. However with over 1200 proofs, I am limiting what I show them - there are a few that I don't like of me so they won't be part of the choices.
