It POURED in Oceanside on Sunday!!!! (Before the real Showers that is!!)

It POURED in Oceanside on Sunday!!!! (Before the real Showers that is!!)

My surprise Bridal Shower was this past Sunday at Union Park Cafe in Oceanside!! It was AMAZING! My Sister (MOH), Bridesmaids, Flower girls, Mom and MIL did such a great job. Above and beyond I ever could have imagined! It was Hawaiian themed and all the detail they included was unbelievable. Here are some of the details:

Place cards: Coconut cups complete with the straw and umbrella. Inside the cup was crushed graham crackers as sand and chocolate sea shells.

Centerpieces: Pineapples on a straw placemats with seashells.

Favor: a tealight candle over sand and shells in a little glass candle holder

Iron board lady: decked out in hula gear!

Towel Cake: Decorated with Hawaiian Flowers

Wishing well: Also Hawaiian Deocrated

They had leis for everyone and the bridal party was wearing grass skirts. Even my little flower girls! It was so cute! They made the candle basket poem and the lingerie poem. They also did the household poem and my sister found one at the end that I guess reads about a Hawaiian honeymoon and it says at the end about getting LEID as one of the items and they bought me a real flower lei and leied me! It was really nice!! The lei was so pretty! We are not going to Hawaii for our honeymoon, but they just changed the words around for our first anniversary. Let's see, what else. Oh! For the wishing well, they asked everyone to bring something that started with the letter of their first name and provided little beach themed cards with a ribbon for people to attach so I know which item matched whose name. Really good idea! They did such a great job surprising me, I had absolutely no idea it was coming. The food was great and the cake was really yummy! My cousin made the Greek Wedding cookies and we also cut up the centerpieces for dessert! All our guests were saying how great everything was the entire time. With all the weddings in my family this year they really did a great job making my shower a little different than the rest. And the presents!! Oh my, we got so many great things!! My gosh I think I can go on and on.

Oh my gosh! I forgot to tell you about the best gift of all!! My bridal party and moms made me a scrapbook! It's one of the most touching gifts I have ever received. Each girl got a page, including my mother and mother-in-law. They included pictures of me and them and they each wrote something special to me. I was the nicest thing ever and such as great idea! I was in tears. I will treasure it forever.
