On a better note ... a great bar to hit for your b'party

Metro 53! On 53rd & 2nd.

The place was huge, didn't feel crowded, met the owners & the most adorable bartender who hooked us up all night! The music was great & it was crawling with the cutest guys!!! go check it out!

53rd and 2nd> Is it new? I lived on 58th b/w 1 &2 for 3 years and never heard of it, but then again I moved away 6 months ago. Is it next door to any other bars? Like Town Crier or Sutton Place or Opal?

Thrilled..I was going to ask the same question. MY DH lived on 53rd/3rd for 5 years and just moved out a year ago and I have no clue where that is..can't picture it!

It is actually very new. It opened in August I believe. A friend of a friend is one of the oweners and I will definitely tell my friend to let him know what a great time you had. It is now a part of the great bar scene in that area - Sutton Place, Opal, Martells. I live on the Upper East Side and we go down there alot. It is also a great after work place.

You got it! We met the family of the bartender .... sweetest people ... were treated so nice & the placed ROCKED! Anyway, the menu looked really good there also ... please pass the word along.,. we will definitely be back .... PS we met TONY and his wife (I think that was the owner's name .... Irish guy... really nice)

Dinner was at Martell's & that place made up for the nonsense that was Mangia e Bevi!
