Tilde, Laura, anyone else who has ordered invites and is getting married around February....
When are you sending them out, and, what did you put as a RSVP date?I'm thinking of sending mine right after Thanksgiving, and putting a RSVP date of Jan. 10 or so....
I'm just so worried about getting mixed up with the holidays....
What are you doing?

I was actually thinking the same thing......invites getting lost in the mail due to holiday busy-ness is one of my worst fears.

Okay..... I guess then right after Thanksgiving (first week of December) gives 10 weeks. With an RSVP date of 1/10, which gives 5 weeks until the wedding.

When do you have to give a head count? january 10th some people are still in vaca mode... Maybe the week after? I don't know, just throwing out a different option

I think we have to give the final 2 weeks before, if I remember correctly, but, then that gives people an extra week to hang on to the invite. I just want to get them out before the holiday card rush, and then get them back after xmas..... I'm really not 100% sure what to do here.

It's a toughy! I definitel agree about getting them out WAY before holiday cards and the thought of the holiday's start to bombard people, which means that hopefully you'll get them back before the holidays. Although, from what I've heard on the boards, you have to end up tracking people down b/c they never sent it back anyway, so I'm sure 1/10 is fine.
PS, small funny side note... I was reading on the 07 board yesterday that someone responding on the RSVP car where it says M____________
the wrote
He1l M otherf*cking yes!
i thought that was hysterical
ETS: I'm not even going to attempt to fix all of my grammatical errors... WT F is wrong with me today... I can't get my thoughts out coherently!!!

We are January 20th... We are sending out our invites last week in September and our RSVP date is December 7th - we're hoping to avoid all the holiday card drama...

Re: Tilde, Laura, anyone else who has ordered invites and is getting married around February....
the woman at the invitation place told me that if you send them out TOO early people think 'oh i have time' and then put it away and never look at it again. . .so while it is tempting to send them out like three months in advance i would try to keep it shorter than that!Welcome New Vendors
