Crazy Weather Today-UPDATED WITH INFO

I hope everyone got to work okay today, try to relax because the commute back via Mass Transit will be pretty bad according to website and NY 1 news. Buses wil be crowded! City is saying people should stay inside due to the heat. There is flooding on most major high ways as well. NY 1 is saying it MIGHT rain again later today

Due to severe flooding throughout the subway system earlier today, there are still extensive delays on some subway lines. We are working to restore full service to all the affected subway lines. Customers are advised when at all possible to use bus service. This is the current status of subway operations:

1 train service has resumed with residual delays.

2 and 3 train service has resumed with residual delays.

4 and 5 train service has resumed with residual delays.

6 train service has resumed with residual delays..

7 trains are running.

A trains are running local.

B train service has resumed with residual delays.

C trains are suspended in both directions between the Euclid Avenue Station and the 168th Street Station.

D train service has resumed with residual delays.

E trains are suspended in both directions between the Queens Plaza Station and the Forest Hills-71st Avenue Station.

F trains are suspended in both directions between the 21st Street-Queensbridge Station and the Jamaica-179th Street Station.

Shuttle Train service is operating between Jackson Hts - Roosevelt Avenue and Continental Ave

Shuttle Bus service is available between 21st Street-Queensbridge Station and Jamaica - 179th Street Station

G trains are suspended in both directions between the Long Island City-Court Square Station and the 4th Avenue-9th Street Station.

V trains are suspended in both directions between the 2nd Avenue Station and the Forest Hills-71st Avenue Station.

S Franklin Avenue Shuttle has resumed with residual delays.

S 42nd Street Shuttle service has resumed with residual delays.

J trains are running.

L trains are running.

N trains are running.

M trains are running.

Q train service has resumed with residual delays.

R trains are suspended in both directions between the 57th Street-7th Avenue Station and the Forest Hills-71st Avenue Station.

W trains are suspended in both directions between the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard Station and the Whitehall Street Station.



Due to street closures in Mid-town Manhattan, the following diversions will be used until further notice:

Staten Island-bound X2 and X5

From 57th Street, south on Lexington Avenue to 42nd Street, west on 42nd Street to 5th Avenue, south on 5th Avenue to 34th Street, east on 34th Street to Lexington Avenue and regular route.

Buses should pick up at X1 bus stops on 5th Avenue, there is no stop at 41st Street and Lexington Avenue.

M98, M101, M102 and M103 South-bound

Regular route to East 42nd Street, east on 42nd Street to 2nd Avenue, south on 2nd Avenue to 34th Street, west on 34th Street to Lexington Avenue, south on Lexington Avenue and regular route.

While the frozen zone is in effect, please expect delays in service on the X2, X5, M98, M101, M102 and M103.

The following trains are being canceled/combined:

The 4:12 PM from NY to Massapequa is being canceled and combined with the 4:21 PM from NY to Freeport, which will be extended to Massapequa.
The 4:22 PM from NY to Port Washington is being canceled and combined with the 4:25 PM from NY to Great Neck, which will be extended to Port Washington.
The 4:34 PM from NY to Babylon is being canceled and combined with the 4:37 PM from NY to Wantagh, which will be extended to Babylon.
The 4:43 PM from NY to Port Washington is being canceled and combined with the 4:46 PM from NY to Great Neck, which will be extended to Port Washington.
The 4:57 PM from NY to Wantagh is being canceled and combined with the 5:03 PM from NY to Freeport, which will be extended to Wantagh.
The 5:11 PM from NY to Port Washington is being canceled and combined with the 5:14 PM from NY to Great Neck, which will be extended to Port Washington.
The 5:20 PM from NY to Long Beach is being canceled and combined with the 5:23 PM from NY to Long Beach.
The 5:19 PM from NY to Wantagh is being canceled and combined with the 5:27 PM from NY to Freeport, which will be extended to Wantagh.
The 5:26 PM from NY to Port Washington is being canceled and combined with the 5:29 PM from NY to Great Neck, which will be extended to Port Washington.
The 5:50 PM from NY to Great Neck is being canceled and combined with the 5:56 PM from NY to Great Neck.
The 5:40 PM from NY to Seaford is being canceled and combined with the 5:47 PM from NY to Freeport, which will be extended to Seaford.
The 6:05 PM from NY to Wantagh is being canceled and combined with the 6:10 PM from NY to Freeport, which will be extended to Wantagh.
The 6:11 PM from NY to Port Washington is being canceled and combined with the 6:14 PM from NY to Great Neck, which will be extended to Port Washington.
The 6:33 PM from NY to Babylon is being canceled and combined with the 6:36 PM from NY to Wantagh, which will be extended to Babylon.
