NWR: VENT! TODAYS COMMUTE

Just a lil run down of my morning...
just got to work...due in at 8 am.

Get to the A train SOAKED this morning go home to change and head back...
Delays on the A
Get to broadway junction and service is suspended for about an hour and a 1/2

Take the J to fulton...no 4,5,6 service
Told to take the bus....BUS says...next or not in service...

Hail a cab...was stuck in a cab from like hmm lets see 11 am until NOW

finally got to work.

KILL ME.

Nah im actually NOT that bad...but this had to be the commute from hell..

i left my home at 6:30 am just so you know.

Good stuff isn't it? After wandering around downtown in the heat and humidity trying to figure out how to get to midtown, I turned around and went back home to Jersey City. I am working from home today!

very similar to mine, but i made it to the 7 train and got in at 10:30. what a nightmare!!!!!!!!!

its my 3rd week so i made the attempt but wanted them to tell me to go home!!!

i had NO CLUE where to go / what to do..

OMG.....I FREAKIN HAD TO COMMUTE FROM BROOKLYN TODAY......

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS TORNADO/STORM HIT BROOKLYN....I TOOK PICS! EVERY CAR GOT SMASHED ON TREE-LINED BLOCKS AND A HOUSE GOT SMASHED BY A TREE...


ONE BLOCK HAD THE GROUND RAISED UP AND THE TREE WAS TORN UP OUT OF THE GROUND.

On top of it, a huge fist fight broke out between an old lady and a guy. it was awful!!! the guy punched her in the face so we had to wait for the cops to come in order to start moving again!!!!!

so it was an effin tornado...the winds i was in this morning.

Ugh! I know, it was bad! I had no LIRR by me, got driven to Forest Hills (took forever,) walked from LIE and on the way a women said there weren't any trains...finally got on Forest Hills LIRR and walked from Penn across and uptown......crazy...but we made it through!

WOW that is crazy, and i thought i had it bad...The funny thing is that someone at my job who lives in howard beach also came in after 1pm and this was from him leaving before 8 am.

It took me 2 hours but i guess bc i avoided NYC mta trains. i took the LIRR from kew gardens which was delayed but not by alot, got to penn station and all downtown trains were suspended, at first i was like OMG this is gonna get crazy now, but luckily i called work to say i was gonna be late and the guy who picked up asked where i was and i told him about the trains not working...i work in jersey so he told me the path trains were working so to get out, walk up about 2 blocks to the 34th street path station, i did have to wait there for about 30 mins and then it went extremely slow, and also get off to switch for another path train but guess it could've been worse

sorry you had to deal with all that thats dedication. My mom ended up going back home
