Anyone else get random FMs from people...

And you don't even get so much as a 'hello/hi' just the question (s) and no thank you afterwards! It's annoying!

Oh yes. And then I respond with lengthy details and sometimes never hear back or get a thank you.

I don't understand why people don't have the common courtesy to simply write 'thanks for your help'.

This happens to me all the time. Usually, the information they're requesting is in my review. I've written many long responses never to receive a thank you.

Not recently but I have absolutely had that happen. I had posted that I was selling my crinoline. MONTHS later, some girl FMs me, something like this

Subject Line: crinoline.
Body of Message: I may need your crinoline.

Nothing else. She did not even sign it, did not ask if I still had it, nothing. I think that was a rude way to ask for something!

By then I had resolved that I would just give it away but I did not tell her that and I didn't bother to post about it. I responded and then never heard from her. And, anyone reading this: I still have it, must get rid of it before baby, would prefer to ship to someone and if I can ship for less than $15 bucks, don't even worry about any $$. Just say Thanks. It's from Macys, a one size fits all draw string A-line slip. I had to get the draw string because I have an allergy to elastic. I would say that it is good for sizes 8-18.

Sorry to crash, but same thing has happened to me. The other side is also when you send an FM requesting info and are nice (I always say please and thank you, or some form of those sentiments) and then never hear back.

On a side note, ssdbk, I am going to FM you

Yeah, DEFINITELY not cool! I think people sometimes forget that if you don't ASK (and nicely) you shouldn't expect the response you wanted!

UUUGH YYYEEESSS!!!! and at the time i'm so excited to help - but then i look for a response(ie:a thankyou! or maybe just saying how things worked out) and never get one!!!! grrr

Really? That sux. I have been lucky enough to get some really sweet FM's from some girls who have questions. Boooo to the meanies!!!!

Its funny, we just had an email class at work since so many people don't always approach emails (or in this case FM's) politely.

I had a couple do this. Why can't you resond, seriously!

I usually check their last post date to see if they're still on LIW before FMing. But you know what, everyone is busy and I understand it if someone can't get back to me - kinda annoying, but I do understand.

I have to agree.....I actually FM'd someone the other day, and was very polite about it. I know this person has been on here many times, and I never got a response!

I get random fms for my templates and advice on BCC, but they have always said thank you. I can understand the frustration, though, with people not responding back to the information you shared with them.
