Blue and gold wedding?

Since my FH is Swedish, I want to incorprate a lot of Swedish elements into the wedding…and I got kinda hooked on having the color scheme be the colors of Sweden, blue and gold. I was thinking of a nice rich blue and the gold would be nice with the flowers I want to highlight, sunflowers. Has anyone seen a good wedding design with these colors?

Mine was navy and yellow (and ivory), not exactly blue and gold:

But I think it turned out well. I didn't go crazy with the color theming, though. I really wanted pale yellow, but it was impossible to get pale yellow roses, so they ended up being that bright color, which I did like.

Good luck! Sounds like it will be lovely, and different. So many weddings choose the same colors without realizing they're fashionable.

Thanks! I thought I had found all the info I could on Swedish wedding traditions, but I never saw the second webpage you listed. I can't wait for my reception in Sweden with all the crazy drinking songs!
