I don't think there is one, but this is dedicated to all the August brides. It's a place to talk about our deadlines, and everything about our wedding.

Let me start. I was just thinking, I plan on ordering my BM dresses around Jan/Feb so that means Fall 07 and Spring 08 will already be out.

August 08 Bride here. Very good idea. I have to pick dresses now though since one of my BM's just found out she is preggo and will be delivering in like Jan. She is going to get measured sometime next week and order size bigger and just worry about alterations.

That's when I plan on doing my dresses! Even my own dress!! Plus I want to get my tan & lose my weight so I can look for a dress and be happy and not all pissy b/c I don't fit in it! LOL

I also want to lose about 15 to 20 lbs. I haven't even began to look at dresses yet. I plan on looking this weekend but I don't plan on purchasing until about Nov / Dec.

I bought my dress and now I just have to maintain my weight. Hitting the gym in July. Don't ask me why that month just picked it lol.

Yes they do. Well I have booked my RH and CH met w/ alot of 3 photographer. I will be meeting with another on Tuesday for a wine and cheese at the marriot on 42nd street. I met w/ 2 florist and that it. I tried on the Maggie Sottero dress which is in my album loved and will be getting soon not soon i meant later. I have a meeting w/ my perfectweddingplanner to do my STD on June 8 and that's all folks

I forgot my FH is a DJ so he have connecting so we have a DJ. FH will not be DJing at our wedding

This is a great idea, thanks for starting the thread.

So far I've just booked my RH (signing my contract today) and my band. Going to take a little time to breath, but will them probably look to book my photographer next, then florist. I'm a big beleiver in trying to get the big ticket items out of the way so you can know how you're doing on budget. But I haven't done some of the little things you guys are talking about, and so of course now I'm freaking out a little bit!

Oh yeah, I've got two questions for you girls:

1. When are you sending out STD's? We are getting married Labor Day weekend, so I was thinking we would send them out this fall, 10-11 months before.

2. Have any of you looked at hotels to block? Again, since we are a holiday weekend, I'm worried about waiting too long.

My FH is a promoter part time so he knows plenty of DJ's the only problem is that we have to worry about an MC

1. I will send mine out August probably the end of August. We have a lot of ppl from out of town and out of the country

1. I will be sending my STD in August or September and my invitations in March

2. I have looked into hotels as yet. I am not doing holiday wedding but I would think you try to book at least 8 months in advance

I will be sending STD out about 9 months before the wedding. If it is a holiday weekend like yours it needs to be a year. I'm not blocking any hotels b/c my OOT guest will be staying with family. But you should really get on that.
