absolutely angie! im on the 6th in the garden terrace. i HATE the person i booked with (JR) but now i have a new banquet mgr so hopefully things will be okay from this point on. i know theres another bride booked in the winter garden pavillion on the 6th too bc the entire hotel is booked and its not only my people! will give a very detailed review. i promise!

Why did you hate JR? We just got switched to him because our guy left to go open his own restaurant. Can you give me any info?

well, he was sooooooo nice and more than accommodating when we booked with him but ever since then, he has been so mean and so rude and so abrupt. and it was on several instances so it wasn't me on a bad day. my FI even called him and complained to him that i felt so uncomfortable and he was still veen so rude and obnoxious to him too! that was it! i called scotto bros. and complained and wrote them a letter about him sayint hat he was a liar, a bully, and a snake! he really was though - no exaggerations. he lied to my FI about something that he had claimed to have told me and then lied to me right back (not knowing my FI was on the phone at that moment). That was it! He really wants nothing to do with you after you book with him. Don't ask him any questions - nothing! He can't be bothered. Well, I hope I got him in big trouble because he made me feel terrible when I am supposed to be enjoying every minute of my wedding planning. Beware!

I'm a little nervous now, J.R. is my banquet manager. He's been fine so far. Has anyone else had a problem with him?

I am getting married on September 28 in the Wintergarden Pavillion....we booked with JR and we haven't had any problems so far...we met with Mike though this weekend to go over all the details and it was fun If you are having a problem with JR maybe you can speak with Mike instead.

I'm getting married there Nov23 in the Garden Terrace room. We have also been working with JR as a banquet manger and he has been good so far, but we havent had to work on too many details with them yet. I am anxious to hear everyones feedback and reviews! Good luck to everyone!

I had my e-party there on Aug. 9th and we booked the party with Mel David.. Had NO problems.. it was quite the opposite.. everything was perfect!

Hi,

I am getting married at the Fox Hollow in November and have been working with JR from day one. He has been absolutley wonderful, honest and kind. We have been dealing with some major family situations and he has been there for us every step of the way. He has bent over backwards to accomidate us to the fullest in anyway he could. Every time we call to speak to him he calls us back and if he is not available he calls us as soon as he has finished with another customer. I think because of JR our wedding will be as I have always dreamed. If anyone else is getting married at the Fox Hollow I can only say from my experience that he is the best to work with.

I have to say that Im shocked to here this nasty stuff about JR. Im getting married on 12/28/02 in the garden terrace. I have to say from the second I met him I felt like I lost my long lost uncle. He has been incredible with us from day one. If I need anything I know I can pick up the phone and call him and he is there for me. If he is not in that day he always calls me back!!!! I want to thank JR for being soooooo wonderful with us and making at least one part of my wedding easy for me to deal with. I wounldnt want him to change a thing about him he has been just great!!!

To anyone who has booked with JR. from the Fox Hollow. We booked our wedding last year with JR and right from the start we knew this was the guy to do it with. We had been looking for a place for quite sometime and just could not decide, When we went to see JR we were greeted with what I thought was one of the most professional guys in this business. We were not treated like cattle (get them in get their money get them out) and we were treated like that at just about every other place. Now to deal with the phone calls, JR HAS RETURNED EVERY PHONE CALL THAT I OR MY FUTURE WIFE HAS PLACED TO HIM WITHIN A FEW SHORT HOURS. On the whole JR was and continues to be one of the most professional and truly caring individuals on staff in the Fox Hollow and I'm proud to have him as our Banquet Manager.

Those last 3 posts sound like letters of recommendation!! JR is one lucky fella!!

I think it's fair to say that different people can have different experiences with even the world's most incredibly talented and professional banquet manager.

We were told that JR was the guy we were to deal with because the individual who met with us initially had left ... so far i've called him about 3 or 4 times and he hasn't returned any of my calls. I liked the guy that we booked with... I hope I'm wrong about JR, but we'll see (If i ever get to talk with him...)

My experience with JR has not changed since we met with him the first. time. I still think think we are lucky to have him and our wedding will be wonderful.

Any Fox Hollow Brides coming up?

Just wondering what people were quoted at here. I went after doing some research to find the average price brides were quoted and I felt I was quoted much higher than I expected. Anyone have any advice/experience negotiating the price them?
