I saw a dip recipe earlier this week on these boards -- it had cream cheese, chili, Salsa (i think) and shredded cheese on top. Can anyone tell me exactly how its made and how much of each thing to use???

Thanks!!!

Re: Help with Superbowl DIP recipe!!!!

Oooh I make this all the time!

One package of cream cheese- spread it evenly in the pie pan.
cover it with salsa (pretty much the whole thing)
cover that with shredded mexican cheese (I think it's 3 cheese - with monterey jack and all the other cheeses, you probably won't have to use the whole package- just cover the salsa so you don't see it anymore)
put it in the oven until the cheese melts.
it is the BEST!

Re: Help with Superbowl DIP recipe!!!!

BUt this is the one that was on the boards!
All you need it...

1 block of cream chesse
1 block of cheese (we use montery jack w peppers)....Shred it
1 can of hormel chili (i like the turkey or no beans but you can use any brand or style)

take a pyrex and put CC in it and throw in micro for 20 secs...just to soften it.

take spatula and spread it evenly.
take chili and spread it over it to make another layer
take shredded cheese and top it off for the last layer

pre heat oven to 350.....cook for 20-25 mins till edges are golden brown and cheese melts and bubbles!

use tositos...and serve!!!

It was similar but I think you were just suppose to microwave everything? And it didnt have the onions and olives. I can use this one if I have to, but I think the other one was easier. Maybe I'm wrong tho?

I don't see why not...I don't think I've ever had it that way, though. Believe me, you won't miss the chili in this dip! It's perfect!
