I commute to jersey city from queens...Depending what part of li you live in, then the lirr to penn station wont take that long and from there you can take the E to chambers street and right across the street is the path, you jump on that for just one stop and you're there

Re: NWR - Anyone commute for work from LI to Jersey City?
DH did it from Bayside, Queens for about 6 months before we moved to Staten Island. He did LIRR to the 1/9 to the Path. Took about an hour and a half.Once we moved to SI, he had to drive. Sometimes we would drive from Bayside, it would definately be better, but the tolls were insane.

Re: NWR - Anyone commute for work from LI to Jersey City?
My father does! However, he leaves for work at 5:15 in the morning and leaves to come home usually by 2:30 or 3pm (and then works from home...)
The commute isn't bad in the morning b/c there aren't as many people on the road, but if he comes home anywhere near rush hour, it can take two hours. My parents live in W. Hempstead.
