Honeymoon Prices
OK, I have never been anywhere except NY, pretty much. I was just wondering if someone could give a good idea on how much, on average, a nice 10 day tropical vacation would cost?! It is the only thing that I haven't gotten a good idea for our budget. Thanks in advance! Nancy

I have been looking myself. I was quoted a price of $2800 per person for a 6 day honeymoon at Sandals in St Lucia. (I am getting married in December). Needless to say, I am still looking.

We are not going tropical for our honeymoon so I don`t know the current prices but keep in mind that if you are going to an island in the winter months it will be a lot more expensive than if your honeymoon is in July. Also, some places are a lot cheaper than others. Good luck, definitely ask a lot of questions and try not to feel overwhelmed as you sort through the info

I was wondering about the prices I had looked at...they were in Modern Bride and I thought they were a little bit outrageous. I guess I wasn't the only one to see the quotes that way! ;)! Hopefully people that have went to some nice, island places can help us out! Nancy

We are getting married in 16 days. We are going to New Orleans right afterwards. Then in the summer, we are taking a cruise to Alaska. We just booked that and it`s another thing to look forward to after all the wedding excitement settles down. Prices in July should be a lot more reasonable. Don`t be afraid to stop in a travel agency. Try Liberty travel, they are a bigger company and sometimes have more savings and packages than the little mom & pop agencies. Ask plenty of questions and take a bunch of brochures. Try & decide what type of experience you want - lots or other couples? private time to just vege on the beach? All the places have plenty of water sports. Do you want all inclusive or not? Keep some of these things in mind. Do you want to rent scooters and see an island? Some places are beautiful but they strongly recommend you don`t leave the grounds because it is in a poor country and crime is high outside their property. Also some resorts are really nice but it's a 2 hour busride from the airport. Definitely start investigating, you will quickly weed out what you don't want. Good luck. I'm sure you'll come up with the perfect spot for you & your Hubby to be.Welcome New Vendors
