Re: Makeup trial help!
I have one on the 13th. I am not too into it - but my sisters (bm's) and mom want somebody there to perk everybody 'up'. I am just telling her natural all the way - get rid of the dark circles....and call it a day!

Hey Marnels...I tipped when I went. I wasn't sure if I should or not, but decided to play it safe.
Let me know how it goes!

Re: Makeup trial help!
Here is my line of reasoning:Tipping is for a job well done. A job more than satisfactory. If you like someones work, you will be hiring them for your wedding day, and believe me the will be making big bucks for that (usually more than twice the cost of the trial) plus I would probably tip them on that day. If you don't like their work, why give them more money on top of what you are already paying? They are doing a trial to try and get your business- I actually think that trial prices are way to expensive. Why should I $50 dollars to find out you do my hair or make-up like crap? I feel that you are trying to convice me that your services are good enough for my wedding day, right? I didn't pay my videographer or DJ to meet with me and show me their services. Now I understand there is a difference because they are doing actual work when you go for the trial, but I have gotten quotes as high as $80 for a make-up trial. That's insane. I think that the way Jacqueline Nicole does it (trials are free) is the most fair way to do it. It shows that she is so confident in her abilites that she is willing to do a trial for free so that you can see that (by the way, I haven't booked her yet, I still have a few more trials to go to but her work is great!)
Just my opinion about trials and money.
