PICS - My birthday as a married woman, my one month later top of the cake, our Christmas tree, etc!
For my 30th birthday, Joe took me to Blue Water Grill - my FAV restaurant and to see Les Miz, plus to see the tree in Rock Center. Here are pics, plus pics of our house decorated for Christmas... wanna see?
Our First Christmas as CIMINOS!
Oh... and my mom and I met Taylor Hicks at Regis and Kelly two weeks ago. He was great... my mom LOVES him!!!!!

AMAZING! It was my fourth time seeing it and I STILL CRIED! Joe hadn't seen it before, and he is SO not a Broadway guy, and HE liked it a lot! (but he admitted he still likes Wicked better. I just think they're DIFFERENT).
BUT... the actress they got to play Fantine, Daphne Vegna something-or-other (she's been in other stuff) was TERRIBLE as Fantine. Her voice is WAY too gruff and she was just a TERRIBLE actress! I was happy the Fantine character dies within the first 20 minutes! I couldn't TAKE it anymore! The actress who played Eponine was GREAT! And Jean Valjean and Javert were great, too! And Cosette was REALLY good! Just FANTINE made me want to jump off my mezzanine seat into the orchestra pit and hopefully land the wrong way on a cello.
But the FEELING that I got the first times I saw it years ago were still there... just an AMAZING play. Oh... and if you've never been to Blue Water Grill in Union Square... TOTALLY recommend it. (Jazz Room... sooo nice!).

I KNEW casting Daphne Rubin-Vega would be a HUGE mistake!!! Did you see her in Rent or hear the cast album? There's a reason they didn't put her in the movie! hahaha Nah I'm sure she was fine in Rent, that is- just definitely NOT the right person/voice for Fantine. Such an ODD choice! A guy I went to school with is in the cast- Drew Sarich. He plays Grantaire and understudies Javert, I think.

lol... nope, it's tall. Tall and skinny was the goal. (God Forbid it blocked the T.V. for my DH!) It's actually fake, but I think it looks SO real! And we got such a GREAT deal after Christmas last year. PRE-LIT, so it's SO easy to put up!
