average alterations cost

Just trying to be sure about alterations costs before I make a final choice on a gown....about how much $$ are alterations on average....I am totally clueless on this!

many places cap them... you should ask the shops that you are considering. If not, it can get crazy, I have a friend who paid $600!!!!!!!!!! Mine is capped at $350

My Cap is 395, but I am having my gown made more fitted.

Usually there is a cap when you buy the dress at the store. When you bring a dress from one place to another there is no cap. Where I am getting my dress from the cap is 250 plus 15 per bustle point.

My alterations are a flat fee of $350....and additional $150 for the bustle.

I think mine were $125, including the bustle, I went to a private seamstress for the alterations, I didn't get them done in the store where I bought it.

Mine is capped at 250 b/c my dress was very $$$$$$

Mine was around 5. I was capped at $300. My regular alterations were about $200 or $250, that was to shorted the dress and do some other stuff. They don't count the bustle into that price. I also had a sheer jacket made (very expensive- $250 just for that).

My bustle is $35 at David's and I was quoted $125+ from a bridal shop. No brainer where I'll be going
