Did anyone not fall in love with their wedding dress.

Just curious if anyone ordered a dress they didn't love. I saw one dress that I love, but the train is too long and I don't like the pleats on the back. Otherwise its amazing. I've tried on about 4 dresses and I didn't love any of them on me. Being overweight, I'm very critical of my body, which is probably part of the reason I will have a hard time. I better get a move on this, since I only have 9 months.

what about that dress that u thought was amazing but u didnt like the train and pleats? cant u just alter the things u dont like and make it perfect for u?

Thanks, yea, I thought about that and the dress is a little beyond my budget to begin with and then with those major alterations, it will really be $$.

well i guess u could look around......BUT i would look into the bottom line of how much that dress would be with the alterations and i would do it and say thats my splurge good luck

i fell in love with my dress .. i am over weight myself and went to davids bridal and they have a ton of dresses .. i tried on so many and was excited since i didn't think they would have such a selection for bigger girls but they did and so true to size .. i am an 18 and fit into all their size 18 and also tryed on some size 16 .. i don't know if you went there but you should try they really were great ....

Keep looking and you will find something perfect Everyone says you will know when it 'the one' and it's true. I just ordered my dress last week. I knew before the dress was even on the whole way Good Luck!

Well, I fell in love with my dress EXCEPT I wanted the pickups to start at the waistline, instead of closer to the bottom (making it a little mermaid-y i thought)....

I actually got to meet the designer of my dress, and she gave me the idea to keep that dress on, and put another dress over it (but folded down) so that I could see the bottom of another dress (one where the pickups started at the waist) with the top of the dress that i had on.... and THEN i absolutely fell in love!

so that's what i'm doing. i'm combining two dresses to make my dream dress
