Help!! Catholic Churches!!
I need help finding a Catholic church! I called up a church and they said they would let us use the church but we would have to provide our own priest. My FI is Catholic and I'm not so if anyone can recommend a church it would really help me out. Also, do you have to do precana with the church where you're having the ceremony or can you do that with another church closer as long as you go through precana? Thanks!

Where are you looking? As far as Pre Cana..it really depends on the church. Some will let you do it anywhere but some require you do it in that church.

Im confused - do you need a church in the city or in Long Island? Not sure about LI but you can take your precana anywhere around the world for NYC churches.

Re: Help!! Catholic Churches!!
If on LI in the RVC diocese, you can take precana through the diocese. I am not sure about taking it in the city.My experience was that many churches did not want to marry people unless at least one person from the couple was a member of the parish.
Your best bet would be to look up churches in the yellow pages and start calling and asking questions you need answered. Seems many churches do things differently.
