lands end weather issues today

I heard Lands End was directing people going there today to another location....I am assuming because of the weather. My parents live close to the water and boy oh boy was it flooded everywhere yesterday....The waves in the Great South Bay were unbelievable and the tides were really high....their parking lot is probably a little flooded......FH and I are going down in a few min to see what it looks like....feel bad for anyone having something there today.... ...hope it's none of our LIW Brides!!!

UPDATE:

I wasn't able to get any additional info.....it looked like there were access problems to entering the premise. The building looked fine, it was just really windy and the bay was really rough......more pics will be in my album for what the area in Oakdale looked like and more pics from the area at lands end....I can't figure out how to add more than 4 pics to a post! Additional pics

DH and I were just talking about how windy it must be at Lands End today. We were honestly thanking god that our wedding was last weekend. But I hope no one is getting married there today. :(

I went to CLM yesterday and we couldn't drive through the floaded streets and there was a wedding going on.

I freaked the hell out because i said what happens if this goes on at my wedding day. My Fh and i drove around to see if we can make our appointment and the whole entire southern coast of Lindenhurst was up in water pretty far from the docs. There was tv crews and all. We cancelled our appointment and went back much later that night and saw the water had gone down considerably.

One thing i have to say is CLM is built up along with the parking lot. There was no probs there just trying to get up into the parking lot that was a bit sketchy.

I guess that is a chance anyone takes with a waterfront wedding. I hope all was well.
