NWR: Funny FH 'rant' in Newsday Sports Section! Come on in Yankee fans!

A few days ago, my FH came up with a joke and emailed it to a bunch of us. I got the idea of submitting it to Newsday Sports, as lots of fans submit some funny things. It was in the sports section today!! Unfortunately, they edited it which really p'd me off. It's not nearly as brilliantly hilarious in the snipped form. So here's the original:

2 years ago the Yankees slogan was “Looking back. Looking forward.” This past year is was “Pride. Power. Pinstripes.”

Well, I just called the marketing department (Deborah Tyman) and put in my suggestion.

The 2007 Yankees

Awful
Ridiculous
Overrated
Disappointing

For short, you can call it AROD.

very funny!... but hopefully that's the 2006 Yanks' slogan, and NOT the 2007 Yanks! I can't take another non-Championship year!!!

My fav slogan was 'At any moment, a great moment'...

I heard another joke...now it's pretty tastless because it has to do with Cory Lidle but it's REALLY a knock on Arod. I HATE myself for finding this so funny- I apologize profusely to anyone who is offended. I'm very torn up about Cory Lidle...but any chance to bash Arod is always fun!

How do you know it wasn't Arod that hit the building in NYC?

Because Arod doesn't hit anything in October!!!

Okay....I might have to run and hide now. teheee!!!
