Re: I feel SO lost in figuring out how to arrange my wedding ceremony!!

I know you said you got a different book than I did but, does it have an outline of a typical ceremony?

Also, have you contacted the music director? I haven't spoken to mine yet but, the priest told me to call him to set up the music.

yeah... I just left a message for them. I just want this DONE. I'm trying to be SO productive today and I keep getting frustrated! Now I know why people hire full fledged wedding planners! lol

Okay... does the song for the Seating of the parents of the Bride and Groom have to be different than the rest of the bridal party? Or can Pachelbel Canon in D just start for them and continue for the whole bridal party? Then Bridal Chorus for me...

Responsorial Psalm... is that just the basic one line answer, typical church ones we have to pick from the book? That's not a full 'song' where I can choose whatever I want, right?

Gospel Acclamation... just like, 'Hallelujah', right?

Exchange of Vows and Rings - Lighting of Wedding Candle... one song?? 'Bless the Broken Road'.

Presentation of the Gifts at the Altar - Song?

COMMUNION - 'Grow Old With Me'

Recessional - Wedding March

You can just play Pachelbel's canon...

Responsorial Psalm - yup, the ones that come from the book.

Gospel Acclamation - yes, you can pick the verse from the book.

Don't know your next question.

Presentation of gifts - yes, there's a song for presentation/preparation of the gifts. I have researched the stack of programs that I've saved and found they usually used either The Wedding Song or The Irish Wedding Song.

I left a message as well and hopefully he'll get back to me soon!

you can pick a song for the responsorial psalm instead of the ones to be read in the book.
the music director would be the one to designate that with.

Re: HELP! I feel SO lost in figuring out how to arrange my wedding ceremony!!

I just talked to my music director. He has a sheet that he gives out that shows where you can choose to have music played during your ceremony. I'm hoping to send my mom to get it from the rectory tomorrow (since they only have limited weekend hours).
