I am not a Fellow, but a regular NYC Teacher and have had an opportunity to work with fellows. My friend is also currently filling an application out for the next cycle. You can FM me if you have any questions or if I can be of help.

Re: NWR: NYCTF

I sent in my application not too long ago... PaddysGirl15 went through the NYCTF and she gave me lots of into when i was doing my app. She was really helpful in answering questions that I had.

Are you filling it out for June 07?

Re: NWR: NYCTF

I applied two or three years ago and got denied. I realized I should have spent more time on my essay.

Re: NWR: NYCTF

One of my BM's is in this prorgam. She just finished Grad school (which they pay for) and she absolutely loves it. Takes A LOT of patience and strength. You're not placed in the best of schools, but these kids need you, so I say if you have a passion for it, then do it. Just be prepared for work.

that's part of the reason i want to do it - b/c i feel like i'll be making a real difference (corny, but true). i'm looking forward to the hard work. =0P

i'm working on my essay now, kinda curious as to what's really looked for. i went to an info session, and that really helped, but i figured any other input couldn't hurt. i may be fm'ing some of you girls. =0)
