may or oct wedding?

so my friend is trying to decide whether to have her wedding in may or oct. she thought may b/c it will be really nice & oct its not too hot. Shes getting married on the water so thats why she figured may but i told her oct will be nice too- i know alot of people who are getting married on the water in oct- she also can save alot of money b/c her hall said oct is considered a off peak month. She thought about that b/c her & her FH are paying for the whole wedding- what do u guys think? shes thinking the first week of oct? i think oct is beautiful even though i'm getting married in june!!

I'd definitely go with October - it's almost as lovely, and lovelier once you take price into account!!!

october!!! may is much more humid, usually the weather in oct is so nice

October! just be careful about Hurricane Season and where she wants to go on her honeymoon!!

I'm a November bride, but I originally wanted October. I LOVE Fall weather!!!

i think shes thinking about going to hawaii on her honeymoon- do u think thats hurricane season there? now with all the responces maybe i'll change my date to oct also- haha

Nope not hurricane season in Hawaii in October...I'm not sure if there is a hurricane season there.

I love the fall..so I am voting for October but you should know that October is becoming a popular wedding much replacing the spring month so prices are getting expensive.

But I think it's worth it.

i'm biased, but i say october. i think it's less humid and a better chance of a clear day (obviously unless there is a freaky hurricane).

and the off-peak for her hall is a definite plus. oct is not off-peak at a lot of places anymore, including mine.

I say Oct. I'm totally bias too! I'm doing Oct. on the water! It's going to be so beautiful.. May weather is unpredictable too... so she should definitely take that into consideration.

Actually... I vote for October. Yeah yeah.. I am getting married in May. I love May and I think it is beautiful and there are a ton of 'in season flowers'..

But I really love Autumn... the crisp (but not cold) air, the gorgeous colors...

And if it is less expensive?? October.

October! That's when we are getting married and it's perfect (for us). Less humidity=no frizzy hair, leaves changing color=beautiful pics, crisp air=little perspiration.

yeah some hall have oct as their peek while others are off peak. i guess probably b/c alot of people now are getting married in oct

I'm getting married close to the first week in October on the water. I'll let you know how it goes, but weather wise the average around our time is low 70's and they say October has the most clear days out of any month.
