Wedding license

DH and I eloped last year. So we are already legally married. Can we skip a new marriage license and see if we can just do a ceremony? We are not getting married in church but at Old Westbury Gardens. I would have liked to do it in church and for that I know you need a new license. I wanted to be married by clergy but now I think we have a better shot with a justice of the peace.

Re: Wedding license

I know this isn't exactly the same thing but I would think it would still work the same

My aunt and uncle renewed their vows a couple of years after they eloped and all they had to do was show that they were already legally married. They had a small ceremony...it was very beautiful.
