Re: James Clifford/Jim Hjelm

I just was on the website for james clifford and they said that the only 2 retail locations forNew York were:

Albany Angela's Bridal
518-869-1848

Massapequa Bridal Reflections
1-516-795-2222

If you see the dress you like... you can usually order it from any salon though.

Re: James Clifford/Jim Hjelm

Bridal Reflections is the only store on Long Island and in NYC that carries James Clifford. I had a friend have a bad experience getting her dress there so I wanted to look elsewhere. Yes, Jim Hjelm is actually the designer of the James Clifford collection. I live in PA and ended up buying my James Clifford dress there. $400 less than I would have paid at Bridal Reflections! Actually, if you fall in love with one of his gowns and are willing to travel to PA, check out La Bella Moda in Conshohocken - about 25 minutes west of Philly. (It only takes me 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to Long Island from there - worth the drive to save $400 I think!) I got a GREAT price on my dress. For me, since I Iive there anyway it's easy for me to do alterations there, but I guess you could always buy a dress there and have it altered back in NY. You could also call stores in NJ or CT - some might not be that far away.

Re: James Clifford/Jim Hjelm

I found my James Clifford dress at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, but wasn't happy with my experience there. I ended up buying my dress at Reba's Brides in North Bergen, NJ for $300 less, free alterations (except a bustling fee which will be $100-$150), and no tax because it's NJ. North Bergen is between the Lincoln Tunnel and George Washington Bridge, and borders the Hudson River so it's not that far. On top of the great prices, the people are really nice.
