DRESS ADVICE NEEDED--PLEASE!

OK Ladies-I need your honest answers here...
I bought my dress from Phylis right off the rack-she said it was discontinued and she could not order another one (I checked and the dress is discontinued). The dress is a size to small (I have 9 months before my Wedding and plan on losing weight anyway) if I do not, she will have to let the seams out. I way looking around on line and found my dress a size bigger and $75 cheaper on bridesave.com. I went back and told Phyliss this and she said one size really won't make a difference, she will make the dress fit. I trust her but am panicking at this point, I have no idea why. What would you do? She will not refund my money, maybe I could get another dress through her but I have not asked that yet-HELP!!!!!!!!! PLUS--I have showed all my clse people the picture of the dress-I really need some solid advice here---

Re: DRESS ADVICE NEEDED--PLEASE!

You can always take the dress out atleast 2 inches. So one sixe bigger really won't matter... If you have a 9 and you need an 11 SHe can do it.

My MOH had the same problem with her dress... They took it out and it fit like a glove

Re: DRESS ADVICE NEEDED--PLEASE!

My Opinion....I Would purchase the larger size dress. I would rather they take in the dress to fit me the let out a dress. I would be frightened that seams would open up. That's just my opinion.

Good Luck!

I agree - with all the other things to worry about, your dress fitting shouldnt be one of them

Re: DRESS ADVICE NEEDED--PLEASE!

Thanks! Any advice on how I could get my $$ back? She did not seem like she was willing to refund my money at all so I could order the larger size....

Re: DRESS ADVICE NEEDED--PLEASE!

I would ask her nicely to refund the money.....and If she says no....Tell Her that Girls on LIWeddings thought that she might give the money back. Being that she is always SO helpful to us. Its worth a try

its a little Flattery with a dash of bribery!

9 months is a good amount of time, I have no doubts you'll lose the weight. And 1 size isnt that big of a difference, I'm confident they'll be able to alter it if need be! GL!

I agree. I ordered my dress a little tight knowing I will lose weight by April. Every bride does.
