My new 'officemate' just complained to my boss that I do too much 'wedding planning' during work time...
Which ISN'T EVEN TRUE!!! I NEVER make ANY wedding calls or ANYTHING while she's in here.I'm on here, but she doesn't know that... the back of my computer screen faces her! I think she's just JEALOUS because she's my age and alone... not just alone, but I've heard her boyfriend stories. They're pathetic.
I don't even know her PURPOSE HERE! She doesn't do an OUNCE of work! She's seasonal and started here 3 weeks ago and will leave in 2 weeks and is an absolute idiot... no phone skills, social skills nothing. She just 'knows someone' so they gave her a job! OMG... she's an idiot! When someone accidentally calls her line - which is the only reason people call her - she just puts the handset down and asks me what to do... no 'please hold' or anything. The person on the other end must be wondering what the heck is going on that they're now by someone's LEG hearing muffled voices!
Oh - and I can see HER computer screen... she's on shopping websites all day long and checking her e-mail. She told me one day she was bored, so I gave her my Disney book to read through while I was WORKING. She calls all her friends because she's so bored and leaves messages for them to call her back at work, so for her to have the NERVE to rat me out for something I don't do is INFURIATING.
My boss assured me I have nothing to worry about since he knows I'm a hard worker, he knows my work, loves me work and if there was something to worry about then this would be a serious conversation. He just had to address it since it was brought to his attention, but he said he didn't care if I was in here trying on my wedding dress. He said to keep doing what I'm doing work wise, she's out of my office in 2 weeks and I won't have to worry about her anymore. He made me feel better and I REALLY like him, but the fact that she even did this and I have to be in here with her for 2 more weeks just PISSES ME OFF.
I'm just LIVID.
