REPOST from 06 Board - advice?

What would you do if your florist screwed up your bouquets (and there were only 2 of them!) - i wasn't home at delivery time but when i got into the limo i realized and phoned them (they were open but there was no answer because they went to make other deliveries) it was only 2:00 in the afternoon... I was really disappointed because the flower they left out was green hydrangea/verbena which was my 'color' scheme.

I phoned them the next day Monday and the person i dealt with was out until Thursday. I left a message and never heard back. So i called again and left a second message where i was told he would call me back Sat. morning (came and went - nothing). I called AGAIN Monday and got him directly on the liine - he apologized and said he felt so bad, wanted to make it up to me. He said he would 'PERSONALLY' drop something off for me last night after work - so i went straight home = NOTHING.

I know i should just let it go but i'm only angrier now because i feel like he's making a fool out of me AND i paid for something I did not receive!!!

are the types of flowers you were supposed to have in your contract? if so, I would ask for some money back. Although, you did get an apology, so that is more than some of these vendors would give!

thank you - yes it was on the contract. I wanted a pink and green bouquet with a couple of white mini callas in mine. My MOH bouquet was supposed to be only pink and green. Hers was all pink and mine ended up being mostly pink too with 4 mini whites. It was a small bouquet. I paid $350 for them?

It sounds like he ran out of your green flowers and hoped you wouldn't call him on it.

At this point, you have to decide how far you want to go. Would you drive in on a day you know he's there and confront him? Keep calling, demanding retribution?

Is this a LIW vendor? You can mention your dissatisfaction via the vendor review section and the bride review section.

Not that it's any consolation but the bouquets look pretty from the pic in your profile.

thank you. no its not an LIW vendor - just our local florist. i guess i'll think about it - maybe i will just sic my mother on him. I spoke to him and he said they had the flowers - they were supposed to be added last or something like that...
