Engagement Party Centerpieces...idea help please TIA

I need an idea for centerpieces for our engagement party. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on them but then again I don’t want to end up with a boring cheesy centerpiece. I want to include balloons but I don’t want just a bunch of balloons weighted down with a sandbag or something…I want something fun! I’m pretty good with DIY projects, does anyone have any ideas or pictures, etc. Thanks a lot!

Do you have any color ideas? Anything the two of you have in common like wine or boating or theater? Maybe we could give some better ideas if we know what you like!

Re: Engagement Party Centerpieces...idea help please TIA

I did candles on the tables for my e-party. I went to Ikea and got lots of cheap vases and candles, as well as those glass beads you put in the bottom of vases. I filled some vases with water and put floating candles in, and in other vases i put pillars. Everything was really inexpensive, and it looked super pretty

Re: Engagement Party Centerpieces...idea help please TIA

My mom actually went to Stop & Shop and bought these really lovely bouquets. Then she ran to Michaels and got some inexpensive glass vases and ribbons. It was so easy, so inexpensive (I think each bouquet was maybe $10-15) and they looked great. This pic isnt so great, its the colors that made them pretty, but you can get an idea...

We added a couple of latex balloons and had this balloon on the table. We also had votive candles and those fake rings from the craft store and confetti on the table.

We did a bottle of Champagne with balloons tied to it. We played a little game and let the winner take the bottle home.

I originally was going to introduce our wedding colors at the engagement party but then decided against that and keep things a secret until closer to the wedding. I think we'll just be doing like white and silver, or white silver and black.

Re: Engagement Party Centerpieces...idea help please TIA

I went to AC Moore and I bought hurricanes that were on sale for $1.99 (8' ones) and 6' pillar candles and put sand and seashells in them. I surround them with beach glass and votives. It seriously cost me about $5 to make each one.

Re: Engagement Party Centerpieces...idea help please TIA

I know of a florist that will do a bouquet of a dozen roses in a vase for $17, but the only thing is that he is located in the bronx!

FM me for more info.
