Makeup in Suffolk County
As usual, I wait until the last second for everything! I have my hair situation all figured out (I am using my hair stylist that I have used for years), but I realized I need someone for makeup. Does anyone know someone that will do my makeup at my parent's house? My best friend went to T-Carlton...anyone use them?

Re: Makeup in Suffolk County
Why don't you try Jaquelin Nicole. She is a vendor on this site. She's located in St. James. She charges $50 for airbrush trial and you go to her and then on the wedding day she charges $150 for airbrush for the bride and she comes to you. I think she charges $90 for airbrush for the party. Give her a call but it will take her 2-3 days to get back to you bc it's wedding season! Hope this helps!

Did your sister use anyone in particular from TCarlton? Did they come to her?

Re: Makeup in Suffolk County
I'm using a makeup artist named Melinda Mo. She works for Chanel in Macys, and is always around the Macys' in LI. I just went for a trial in Manhasset and *LOVED* my makeup. Most artists I had trials with ended up making me look like my brother in drag.If you prefer more of a natural, or 'understated elegance' style of makeup, consider her. She's catered LI brides and understands those who want 'the natural look'. (In fact, I found out that she just did a huge wedding at Oheka!)
She was very patient with my picky self, and took the time to try on different colors and shades that would work for me. She also asked what other colors I would be wearing, the BM colors, colors of the wedding, style of my gown (and on and on) in order to choose the right look/feel and colors for my face. I looked like a princess, but I still felt like ME.
Her contact info:
MELINDA
ph: 917-816-2478
email: [email protected]
You might be able to meet her at a Macy's in NY or LI to test colors.

Re: Makeup in Suffolk County
Do you know whether she can come to my house the day of the wedding? My hair stylist is coming and it wouldn't make sense to have to go somewhere to get my make up done. Also, which Macy's does she work at?

Re: Makeup in Suffolk County
I'm sure she can, give her a call or shoot her an email to see if she's available on your wedding day (though mine is just a week after yours!). She's very good with responding. Her schedule varies, one week she might be at the Roosevelt Field Macy's the next Manhasset. Contact her with a time you want to meet up. HTH!

I heard T Carlton is great but may be a little pricey. I am using Serenity (they are a vendor on here). Natalie is excellent and will travel to you! I just referred someone from work to her and they were so pleased!! She is in Commack! Good luck!

I am also using Jaqueline Nicole. As soon as she was done with the trial I booked, right there. Not even a second thought about it. I LOVE her work!

Re: Makeup in Suffolk County
I used T-Carlton once THEY ARE THE WORST FOR HAIR AND ALL SPA TREATMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRUST ME, FM for any questions. There make up maybe okay, BUT THATS IT!!!! THEY ARE SUCH A RIP OFF !!! They burnt my friends hair off with highlights and when she went for a facial(with her gift certificate) they burnt her face with strong products, they ARE THE WOOORRST!! I would hate to see you waste you $$$ on them.
