Wedding Cruise on Long Island - Any feedback?

Hello all!!

I'm new to the board -and was just wondering if anyone knows people who have had their wedding on a boat (Or if you have looked at any). I think its a great idea - but just a little nervous - any feedback is much appreciated. I am looking at Nautical Cruise Line out of Freeport LI.

we almost booked there.. it is gorgeous.

we didnt because we wanted all of our guests to sit on one level and that would not be possible cuase we had too many.
but if you have under 150 or so i think it works out nicely.
what a great idea for a different wedding!

Actually I am booked with Nautical Cruise Lines on Nautical Empress....they have two boats The Princess for a smaller wedding and The Nautical Empress (Which I booked) can hold 300 + guests...(three levels on the boat) I guaranteed 145 but inviting more than that...we will all be on one level for our Sit down dinner (I beleive it is the lower level) Call Connie @ Nautical Cruise Lines (she is a doll) The BOAT is AWESOME ~ Totally re renuvated (they just aquired this boat October or November 05) and has just been up and running in the last couple of months! Check it out...and FM if you have any more questions...

Hi there -
Thanks for the feedback - I looked at the Empress and loved it - going back tonight for the tasting.

When are you having your wedding?

I will prob have 250 invites - so I just am not sure about 2 levels of seating for dinner. Did you think that the dance floor was small?

I was lookng at nautical cruiiselines as well, but they dont give prices... does anyone know any off hand? i would contact them but alot of times when you leave your phone number they call you like 100000000000000 times. if anyone knows please let me know! hanks!

Hey-
We looked at the Nautical Empress and it was 85 pp for Friday night or Saturday day - then about $20 more for a Saturday night. They were pretty open for Summer 07. I have pictures of it if you want to see them -

someone i know had his wedding at nautical (i believe) his wedding picture is actually the main picture in magazines. he had a blast and so did his guests
