I went to a wedding at Crescent Beach Club (w/ pics)

I went to a wedding at the Crescent on Saturday and you have nothing to worry about. Everything was beautiful. The bride got really lucky and was able to have her ceremony outside. It started to pour about 15 minutes into the cocktail hour, but at that point it didn't matter anyway.



The food was excellent.

I loved the crabcakes and sesame chicken that was being passed. They had an Italian station with garlic knots, penne alla vodka, ravolli and eggplant rollatini (all of which was great). They had a Spanish station with rice, chicken and fried plantains, but I didn't try any of it. For dinner I had the chicken and FH had the filet. We both really enjoyed our meals even though we were still completely stuffed.

I don't know who does the cakes for the Crescent, but it was so yummy. Chocolate with chocolate mousse filling.

My favorite part of the night was the ice cream sundae bar.

Was there a band or DJ?

What time did the wedding cocktail hour/reception start?

How was the service?

Were there baskets/flowers in the bathrooms? On the fireplace?

Did they have pictures in frames in the 'living room' before the cocktail hour?

How were the placecards set up?

Where was the cake set up?

What did the sweetheart table look like? Were the bride and groom's chairs different from everyone else's (from what you could remember?)

Wow, lots of questions.

What was the filet of? What kind of fish? - Filet mignon, and sword fish

Was there a band or DJ? - They had a dj with a photo montage and 5 plasma screens throughout the reception.

What time did the wedding cocktail hour/reception start? - Cocktail hour was at noon and reception was at 1pm

How was the service? - Our waiter was great. I've never been to a wedding where they refilled your mixed drinks at the table. He kept the stoli ras and sprites coming all night.

Were there baskets/flowers in the bathrooms? - She had an extra centerpiece in the bathroom and a basket with different products in it.
On the fireplace? - She had those votives with the shell hanging off of them. - There's a pic of one above.

Did they have pictures in frames in the 'living room' before the cocktail hour? - They just had one pic on the center table. That's also where the placecards were.

How were the placecards set up?

Where was the cake set up? - outside the reception room directly across from the fireplace.

What did the sweetheart table look like? Were the bride and groom's chairs different from everyone else's (from what you could remember?) - I have no idea, sorry.

I would definitely say do one or the other. Both a chocolate fountain and a sundae bar might be too much.

They also had a plate of cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and canolies at each table. Did I mention that I ate WAY TOO MUCH?

oh... so they DO have chocolate covered strawberries, too?!?! That's good to know! So I'm definitely scratching the chocolate fountain! Thanks for the info.! You just saved me $1000 bucks!!
