NWR - Anyone know of a good 1 BR apartment for rent (or purchase) in NYC?

Hey There - I am desparate to find a place!! 1 week before my wedding, the guy I sub-lease from in Manhattan told me he needs to move back into my apartment. I am so disappointed - I have a great 1 Bedroom (rent controlled) in the West Village on Grove St and I don't want to move!!

So I am trying to spread the word to everyone I know who might know of something available. Preferrably in the West Village, but I am open to other locations on the west side. I am renting now, but depending on the price, I would consider buying as well. If you know of anything, please FM me. Thanks!!!

Craigslist is wonderful! I found all my old roomates on there before I moved in with FH!

Thanks girls - I have been checking Craigs List on and off - love that site!! It is a bit discouraging for my area though....1BR run btwn 2500-3200 down here!! Crazy....I am in a rent controlled place right now and not paying nearly that much. Ugh....I hate apartment hunting and I don't want to move!!!
