Relatives complaining about our wedding date

Ok, this is too funny. My FH's brother and wife are not happy w/our wedding date. The live in Virginia and our wedding is in Nassau County. We are getting married the day before Labor Day. Every time that these people go away, they bring their 2 cats to their inlaws in Philadelphia. I guess they have no one else to watch them!!!!!! Our wedding date is not convenient for them cause it will not give them enough of time to pick up the cats and spend time with the people who are watching them and then get their son back home in time for school the next day. I also have 2 cats also and get concerned about their care, but give me a break. Their cats are healthy and do not require medical attention. They can left alone for 1 or 2 days. These people are driving back to Virginia, not California! What nut jobs! Thank god they live far from us.

Well, they are invited, they will have to see whether they can make it or not.

You have some cooky family members there Joyce! Hi!! That's crazy! Can I tell you that I used to have 4 cats and I would leave them all home alone for 7 days! They each had a spanky new litter box with new litter and I left out about 5 huge bowls of food and water. They were all alive and kicking when I got home.

I think they had friends over but I could never quite prove it!

its ok fh's family are complaining that we're having our wedding on a thursday night wedding in the summer yet they're not really helping with the wedding. unless i see them handing over more than half of the wedding money, then they need to shut their mouths! (our reception hall is 20 bucks per person cheaper this way!)

I promise you even if your wedding was on a weekend not surrounded by a holiday, yout pain in the ars relatives would still have an issue. they sound like difficult people who will always have an issue with something.. don't stress about it and just move on.

Oh well not your problem!!!! They have over a year to figure it out. Do they expect you to change the day to convient them. Tell them to get over it!!!

sorry i just have to about that one! I could understand if there was a 'real problem', but its their cats!

there's nothing wrong with OUR date!! don't worry about it. the only thing that matters that day is you and your fi. don't worry about other ppl's cats, dogs, kids or whatever. think about yourself. it's one of the only few days that you can!

Very funny!!!! It reminds me of those people that can't find a babysitter for their kids with a year's advance notice!!
