NWR: Babylon Train station parking ticket

OK, so- I got a parking ticket at Babylon train station. It didn't give me any option to just mail in my $50. It gave me a date and time for court appearance. Is this normal? Do I HAVE to appear, I can't just mail this in?
Does anyone have any experiance with this town? My scheduled appearance is 3 days before my wedding...

That doesn't make sense, you should be able to mail it in. Call them and ask what the deal is.

OMG! That's so weird... last Friday night my FH got a parking ticket there too! It wasn't $50 but it still said he had to appear even though the ticket was on the back of a self address envelope and told him he could only mail a money order or certified check... Wierd

Call the town clerk. AS far as I know that is who regulates the parking lot there.

You can call and tell them that you are getting married and can't show up, they will give you a new date.

But in my experience, trying to fight these tickets are a waste of time and it is easier to just pay it. *****, but true!
