I hope that future brides do not really have expectations about gifts and such unrealistic expectations as I keep reading in threads but just in case..............

I guess I don't get it because we pocketed all our gifts as my parents paid for the wedding but if I could not afford it, we wouldn't have had a big wedding or we would have waited until we were able to foot the bill and not to have worry if we were getting the money 'back' to pay it off!!!!
