What to throw at Bride and Groom after Ceremony?
I would love to have flower petals thrown at us after the ceremony, however, I have to pay an extra $35 to have them cleaned up at the church if I want that. (I have no idea why, when they are part of the earth and will get blown away. )I am looking for other options, I know about these:
Birdseed
Bubbles
Flower petals
(Can't use Rice or confetti)
Please post any ideas that you may have!! Thanks!

they make you clean it up after because people can slip (thats why were not allowed to throw roses AT ALL)im doing bubbles.

Re: What to throw at Bride and Groom after Ceremony?
We are allowed to throw them, but the next day they have someone clean it up. Just makes no sense, bc in that amount of time, a lot of people could slip. It's only $35, but still, it's $35...

I would spend $35 if this is for something you want and care about.

Re: What to throw at Bride and Groom after Ceremony?
I've seen people release butterflies. They come in little cardboard holders and each person gets one and when the Bride and Groom walk out they are released. I'm not sure how much it costs to do this because if it's a lot maybe it's more worth it just to pay the money for the guy to clean the roses up??
The butterfly thing is not for me, I like the petals. We are not allowed to throw anything at all-- NOTHING, not even bubbles which just pop. We decided that we are just going to do what we want regardless and not say a word to anyone about it: so I'm throwing rose petals.

The $35 is not a big deal to me, just more of an annoyance...I don't think I can touch even the box with a butterfly in it...decisions, decisions...thanks girls

Re: What to throw at Bride and Groom after Ceremony?
you know it's funny: they ship the butterflies in, and butterflies are very fragile-- so the thought just entered my head: what if they die during shipping?? then everyone goes to open it and looks toward the sky for them to fly out-- and they look in the box and they are dead-- YIKES...
wonder if that's ever happened

Either way, anything anyone throws is going to have to be picked up....so why not do the wands.Otherwise, what's another $35 at this point? I would do the rose petals - they looks beautiful.

Yep, will probably do the rose petals, just wanted to see if I was missing any options that I wasn't thinking of.

you go, girl! lol
We're doing rose petals, which we are allowed to do.
We're also lining our aisle runner with rose petals, which we haven't checked to see if we're allowed to do... not mentioning that we're doing that. Just doing it. Once they're down... they're down!
