I just gave up a 2 bedroom house for $1200 a month. It has a yard, big driveway all brand new utilities and is on a lake. Its in North Patchogue. FM me if youre interested.

My husband and I rented a LARGE 1 BR in the Fairhaven complex in woodbury. Beautiful & spacious (w/ a patio) It was about 1800 per month.

wow- a 1 bedroom more then mine- I am shocked

I pay $1700 for a Junior 4- 1 bedroom plus dining room in long beach with a pool, private beach and doorman

smaller units in my building start at $1400

gotta pay for the Woodbury address & SD. although with 1 bedroom, kind of hard to have a kid, much less one old enough for school.

As much as I loved my apt., we were so glad to stop paying rent there!! There are other fairhavens (carle place/mineola, jericho/hicksville) that are a bit less. We were in the Syosset school district and yes, you definitely PAY for the address & SD!

yikes- I never thought about that- I would rather pay for things I use- like the pool and beach - then schools ( since I have no kids- and no kids even live in my building)

all summer it's like living in a hotel- I think that why we aren't motivated to buy a house-
