Re: Has anyone ordered recipe cards/albums for bridal shower??
I recently did this for my friend. I bought cards from Michaels (I think, or AC Moore), size 4 x 6, they were in the baking section. I wanted to print on them and these had instructions online and a template so they were perfect. They're cute enough though that if you didn't want to print on them it would be OK. Then I printed out this poem of instructions to put in each invitation:Enclosed for you is a recipe card
To fill it in shouldn't be hard.
(Bride's Name) might like to try your favorite cake,
or whatever it is you like to make.
So don't forget the card on this special date,
Fill it in now, don't hesitate.
At the shower will be a recipe box to fill.
So bring this recipe card, if you will.
And finally I bought a photo album that fit 4 x 6 pictures and decorated the album with cooking themed scrapbook stuff. The album also had a spot on the cover to put a picture but instead I put a version of this 'recipe for a good marriage' poem:
1 cup consideration
1 cup courtesy
2 cupfuls flattery carefully concealed
2 cupfuls milk of human kindness
1 gallon faith and trust in each other
2 cupfuls praise
1 small pinch of in-laws
1 reasonable budget; a generous dash of cooperation
3 teaspoons pure extract of “I’m sorry”
1 cup of contentment
1 cup each of confidence and encouragement
1 large or several small hobbies
1 cup of blindness to the other’s faults
“Flavor with frequent portions of recreation
and a dash of happy memories. Stir well and remove
any specks of jealousy, temper or criticism. Sweeten
well with generous portions of love and keep warm
with a steady flame of devotion. Never serve with
cold shoulder or hot tongue.”

I like doing crafts so this was all up my alley! I hope these ppictures post....
If you're not into DIY there's a nice album on Hallmark.com that comes with cards. It was my backup plan if I ran out of time.
