Re: Whats the average price per person
Open bar usually adds $15-$20 on top of the food price which usually ranges from $25 up to $65.

Re: Whats the average price per person
Our RD included beer, wine and soda for what I believe my in-laws paid $27 per person.ETA: Please disregard my reply above. I should have read your posts more carefully. I didn't realize your question was pertaining to a place in LI, my RD was held in Howard Beach (Queens) so that doesn't help much, sorry

Re: Whats the average price per person
We have been looking in the Bethpage area and so far the prices range from 25.00 p/p to 44.00 p/p. I think white castle is looking better and better. We have a ton of people and dont want to spend a ton of money.

Re: Whats the average price per person
we didn't have an open bar because it was the night before the wedding. MIL paid $25 per person with soda at the Garden Grill. AMAZING!

Re: Whats the average price per person
Do you think beer and wine is enough or do you think you need the open bar for RD?

Ours is $37pp including beer & wine, salad, dinner, dessert, soda, and coffee...excluding tax & tip and any passed hor d'ouvres that we might want to add on (another $5 pp for 4 hor d'ouvres)

I think most people will drink wine or beer - but you could probably run a tab for any other drinks - cheaper than doing a whole open bar.

I agree - I don't think a completely open bar is necessary for the RD. beer and wine definitely, or run a tab. people can get their drink on at the reception!
