What time are your hair and make-up appointments for your wedding day?

I had a hair trial with a girl I use all the time and I love her work. Before the trial the salon told me she was available on my date so I had my trial with her yesterday. After my hair was done I tried to make an appontment with her to come to my house the day of my wedding and I was told she is already booked for a wedding party of 13 that day. I got really upset and asked whay did I have a trial with her if she can't do my hair on my wedding day??? They told me I can come to the salon at 7am and she can do my hair then. Isn't that a little early for a wedding at 3pm? Now she agreed to come to my house at 7am instead of me coming to the salon. I also had a make-up trial scheduled with this salon that I cancelled because they said my make-up would have to be done at 7am also. Can you let me know when your hair and make-up appointments
are scheduled on your wedding day?

My church is at 1pm & my hair lady is coming to me at 8 & my make-up lady at 930. IF you aren't able to get someone else I'd keep what you have at 7, granted it is early, but it may be hard to book someone at this late time. But definitely look around

BTW, I'd be really upset w/ that salon, that wasn't right of them.

i have seven bridesmaids and myself for hair and makeup, my current timeline starts at 8:00 a.m.!

I'm starting at 9:00... hair and make-up are coming to my house. Our wedding isn't until 4:00, but I wanted to be sure we all got done in time. Don't want to be rushing the beauty!!!

I would also be really annoyed with the salon. DId you have to pay for that trial? You should get your money back!

I am annoyed at the salon. This hair stylist used to work in my town, but she switched salons. They were just so rude about the whole thing. I did pay for the trial and I think I'm keeping the appointment because I did like my hair and I don't want to have to pay for another trial somewhere else. I just hope my appointment isn't rushed because she has to go to her next appointment with 13 people.

I'm jealous of you all with late start times! My ceremony is at 10:30am and Mom's house (where I'm staying overnight) is an hour from the ceremony. Which means I'm getting up at the crack of dawn, as is my hair/makeup girl.

Thankfully, I'm the only one having hair and makeup done. I'm going to time my trials and see how long it takes. I know she'll be taking her time but I like having a 'buffer' in case of problems.

That's what I would be afraid of...she should have let you know that she had a prior appointment before she even accepted you for a trial

I started at 9am at the hair salon...Then met my Marie Katz (makeup) at my parents house by 1 & I was ready to get married by 2 even though church wasn't until 4!

my ceremony is at 11am but its 5 min from my parents. Im getting my hair done at 7am and my makeup at 8am.
I didn't want a long time in between I wanted it fresh when I went to the church

Are you kidding??!?! I guess this is a pretty common situation where you pay for a TRIAL for you WEDDING DAY and people have trouble putting together the fact that you aren't just paying to have your hair look pretty on the day of your trial but that you are actually testing them out so you can use them on your wedding day -- then they pull the 'oopps, i'm already booked on the day of your wedding' - sickening

As far as your schedule is concerned, if you really like and trust this girl I would get your hair done at 7am. You have already paid for the trial and like what she does. You'll hair your hair done and out of the way early.
My ceremony is at 2pm and I was told that I would have to have my hair aptm by 8am the latest...so 7am sounds about right.

Do you know this woman's schedule? How much time will she have? I don't like the idea that she is planning on working on 14 women in 1 day.

I would really think about going somewhere else.

My ceremony is at 11:30am and my hair person is doing my mother, my sister and myself and she's coming at 4:30am!!!

My hair appointment is for 930am and makeup is starting at 12 for 4pm ceremony.

I have 5 girls plus me getting done and photg comes at 1pm

Thank you for your responses everybody! I think I'll call the salon and ask how much time my stylist has before she leaves my house for her next appointment. I don't want my hair to be rushed on my wedding day.
I might have one more trial somewhere else and maybe that salon will be more accommodating. It's a shame because I love this stylist, I just don't like the way this salon does business.

Photographer is coming at 2....

Mya is coming to my house around 9am. She has to do my hair and make up plus hair for 6 BM's and 2 flower girls though.

I intend to go first though! I want to get my dress on and wear it as long as I can!
