Need ideas for a DIY CP that is very low in cost!!

My friend is having a small low budget wedding. She is looking for ideas that are very low in cost for a CP. The tables are long..I had suggested pillar candles with rose petals and votives..easy enough for the catering hall to set up.

Any ideas???? Any pics??? Please post what you can.

when (season) and time is she getting married? If it's a day wedding, you can do bowls of fruit, or stands of lemons and limes, if it's night, i;ve seen beautiful CPs with river stones and candles... all depends... good luck to your friend

I am not sure if I found these here or on theknot..but these should be easy/cost effective...we are doing something like this since I just don't like those 'tall' CPs and no one has shown me a nice 'short' one I like either.

here's a pic of the CP's at a wedding I attended in March. They were SUPER inexpensive...I think in total for each CP it came out to $4 or $5 - tray, fake rose petals, ribbon and candles:
